The Kaua‘i Mokihana Festival, September 23-29, 2018, presents:
September 23: 10 a.m., Kapa‘a First Hawaiian Church Service, 4-1320 Kuhio Hwy. No fee
September 24: 7 p.m., Kaua‘i Composers Contest and Concert: at the Historic Waimea Theatre
September 25: 9 a.m., "Eo E Lili‘u" Children's/Youth Music Competition, $10 donation
September 25: 6:30 p.m., Her Mo‘olelo - Lili‘uokalani: at the Lili‘uokalani Trust Center
September 26: 3:30 p.m., Wahi Pana O Wailuanuiaho‘ano - Legendary Place of Wailua, Kaua‘i, Cultural Presentations Smith's Fern Gratto Tour, 3-5971 Kuhio Hwy, Kapa‘a; fee is tour price
September 27-29: 10 a.m. to closing, Nā Moʻolelo O Hawaiʻi Nei - Stories of Hawaiʻi Craft Food Fair. Free entrance to craft and food area only; donations accepted
September 27: 6 p.m., Hula Competition: Solo/Group Kahiko Nei
September 28: 10 a.m., Nā Lei Pua ʻOle - Flowerless Lei Contest. Free/donations accepted
September 28: 6 p.m., Hula Competition: Group ʻAuana
September 29: Noon, Hula Competition Solo ʻAuana & Finale
*Hula competition fees are $20/advance and $25/door per day.
Note: September 25, 27-29 events will be held at the Kauai War Memorial, 4191 Hardy St, Lihue.
