Papakōlea Pā‘ina

August 11, 2018

Tickets are on sale now for the 3rd Annual Papakōlea Pāʻina. The Pāʻina will feature memorable performances by Ei Nei, Hoʻokena, Makaha Sons, Weldon Kekauoha and special guests. This lineup of legendary favorites are sure to charm guests with their favorite melodies.

The event will take place on Saturday, August 11, 2018 at the Papakōlea Community Park. The theme, E Nānā I Ke Kumu, is representative of practices in Papakōlea - taking the ʻike (knowledge) of our kūpuna (ancestors), passing it down through generations, so our culture remains authentic and vibrant. Proceeds from the 3rd Annual Papakōlea Pāʻina will support the Papakōlea Community Scholarship Program and community educational initiatives.

During the month of June, tickets are priced at $20 per adult and $10 per keiki (ages 12 and under). Ticket prices will increase incrementally each month leading up to the Pāʻina. Ticket holders will receive an ʻono Hawaiian plate, court access to the concert, access to lomi and more. Anyone can visit the 20+ unique vendors featured in the marketplace.

The Papakōlea Community Development Corporation (PCDC) is a community-based nonprofit established to serve as a steward of the Papakōlea Community Park and Center, and provide the residents of the Papakōlea, Kewalo, and Kalāwahine, with a full range of comprehensive services.
