Royal Hawaiian Band Free Christmas Concert

December 7, 2018

It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas!  The Royal Hawaiian Band will perform a special Christmas Concert at the Manoa Valley Church on Friday, December 7 at 9:30 a.m. in the sanctuary.  The free concert is open to the public and is presented by the church’s Preschool.

The Royal Hawaiian Band, the only band in the United States with a royal legacy, performs timeless Christmas classics as well as popular Hawaiian Christmas songs.

Once known as the “King’s Band,” the Royal Hawaiian Band was founded in 1836 by order of King Kamehameha III.  The Band is one of the last living links to the Hawaiian monarchy, and is currently an agency of the City and County of Honolulu.
