The Ukulele Festival was created by Roy and Kathy Sakuma 52 years ago to promote Hawaii’s culture and arts through the ukulele! Roy’s vision originally started as a free concert to preserve interest and spread the joy of the ukulele. The non-profit Ukulele Festival Hawaii was created to provide FREE ukulele lessons, FREE online workshops, community events, scholarships and donating ukulele to the underprivileged. This year’s virtual broadcast will feature local and international musicians: Herb Ohta, Jr., Danny Kaleikini, Bryan Tolentino, Kama Hopkins, Halehaku Seabury and more.
