Learn about dolphins, sea lions, turtles and more on Oahu’s East shore in Waimanalo
Sea Life Park is Hawaii’s #1 Marine Park that educates through their show performances. They help to ensure all of their animals get their daily nutrition while checking their eyes, teeth, flippers, etc. through “operant conditioning,” a technique which allows their trainers to train them in order to monitor the animal’s health like taking body measurements or putting special eye drop into the sea lions eyes. Lots of family fun as you get to see these wonderful marine animals up close and personal. They also have animal encounter experience which includes swimming with dolphins for an additional fee.
Remember to bring a hat, sunglasses, sunscreen and a water bottle. It does get pretty warm during the day. Open daily from 10am to 4pm. Try to get there when they open so you can see all the performances! The shows are spaced out with enough time in between to check out the bird Aviary that is full of cockatiels, parakeets and love birds. If you aren’t shy the birds will eat right out of your hands!

See the tropical fish up close at the Discovery Reef Touch Pool at feeding time. These hands on exhibits that will keep the little ones engaged while learning about each of the animals. There is even have a shaded play area for them to run around and have their own adventures between performances!

Check out the endangered Hawaiian Green Sea Turtles in the Honu Habitat! You can purchase a cup of food to feed them in a souvenir cup you get to keep! Remember if you see a Turtle out in the wild it is against the law to touch or harass the green sea turtles. Unfortunately, disease, marine debris (trash in our ocean), and net entanglements threaten all marine life and It is important that we do our part to keep our ocean clean.



The Aloha Nai’ia Show is a definite MUST SEE! Show The bottlenose dolphins and the Wholphins unique (Half False Killer Whale and Half Bottlenose Dolphin) Mother and Daughter swim and jump side by side! They are a beautiful sight to see! So come to meet some ocean friends and leave with a new appreciation for these amazing creatures that share our world!
