Hilo Orchid Show Gala Preview Party on Thursday, July 27, 2023. Held from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. at the Edith Kanaka’ole Stadium, this ‘fun’-raiser kicks off the Annual Orchid Show and Sale in Hilo… and raises funds for peace and agriculture. All ticket proceeds benefit the non-profit Ku’ikahi Mediation Center and the cause of “Finding Solutions, Growing Peace.” All silent auction proceeds benefit Hilo Orchid Society’s agriculture student scholarship fund. The evening gala is a truly a ‘fun’-raiser. People drink, eat, socialize, and get a sneak preview of the lush displays and the first chance to buy orchids.
The Preview Party features live music, delectable catered food, and a selection of hard and soft beverages. Service includes fine wines, beer on tap, gourmet juices, and local coffee. Tickets are $85 (of which $30 is tax deductible) and may be purchased in advance from The Most Irresistible Shop, Day-Lum Rentals, and Ku’ikahi Mediation Center. Reserved tables for 4, 6, 8, or 10 people are available at bronze, silver, gold, and platinum sponsorship levels. Each year the Hilo Orchid Society stages the largest and most comprehensive orchid show and sale in the state of Hawai`i. The show takes place at the Edith Kanaka’ole Stadium in Hilo.

Judging Orchids
Each year, awards are bestowed in two categories: American Orchid Society Awards and Hilo Orchid Society Ribbons. Each will be coordinated by an American Orchid Society judge who lives on Hawai`i Island.
