Honolulu Festival
The evening was alive with music and celebration. There were a handful of food vendors with long lines serving up small, delicious portions. The cheesecake dish was to die for! Although the desert was tiny, the sugary drizzle and strawberry were enough to get my attention. I grabbed my food tickets and rushed through the line to make it on time to see the wonderful show.
The cultural performances were beautiful. A performance by a group from the Philippines told a story of a king and queen. A Japanese dance troupe came out and performed a pop routine in pretty, white, kimono. The host delivered a lively and fun auction that got the crowd on their feet. People were laughing at his off-centered jokes, and clamoring to win luxury resort stays and a great deal!
All in all, the Honolulu Festival was a blast! It was a night of great local restaurants, entertainment. If you’ve been thinking about going, I would definitely recommend it. Although alcohol was an option, it was a family-friendly night with a lot of young performers. It was a great event for kids, friends and everyone in-between. The Honolulu Festival is held every March so be sure to check out the next one in 2018.
