The 14th Annual Kū Mai Ka Hula

September 14, 2019

Kū Mai Ka Hula features award-winning hālau from the Hawaiian Islands, Japan and the continental U.S. competing in solo and group performances. Male and female dancers perform both kahiko (traditional) and ‘auana (modern) hula stylings. Expect to see hālau competing in a level of performance as seen in other well-known prestigious hula competitions, yet this event takes place here, on Maui in the MACC's Castle Theater. Additionally, attendees can browse and shop displays of made-in-Hawai‘i products from an array of crafters and artisans before and throughout the Saturday performances. A full selection of food & beverages will be available for purchase.

We invite you to experience gorgeous hula in a world-class venue unique to Maui – E hele mai!!
