Located at Kukui Grove Center in Līhu‘e, Kaua‘i Ocean Discovery is a new educational facility that shares the traditions and knowledge of our ocean connections and inspires stewardship.

Tour the extensive Hawaiian archipelago, including Hawaiian Islands Humpback Whale National Marine Sanctuary and Papahānaumokuākea Marine National Monument, located to Kaua‘i’s northwest. Explore an underwater world through videos, interactive displays and hands-on activities. Little ones adore the ocean puppet theatre, and the facility is a few steps away from the Kukui Grove Keiki Korner play area, which is also ocean themed.

Kaua‘i Ocean Discovery is presented by the National Marine Sanctuary Foundation and NOAA National Marine Sanctuaries with free admission to the public. Open 9 a.m.-5 p.m. Tues.-Thurs., 11 a.m.-7 p.m. Fri., 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Sat. Closed Mon. and Tues.

Visit kukuigrovecenter.com for event schedule including visiting speakers, family activities and special themed programs and exhibits. A weekly Talk & Tour is hosted 10 a.m. every Thurs., led by a Program Specialist with the Hawaiian Islands Humpback Whale National Marine Sanctuary.
