Owner Chuck has been offering great souvenirs on Maui for over 27 years. Now, he’s starting his own brand.

When Chuck opened his very first store, Awesome Tee’s, in Kihei, he soon realized that the “Tee’s” after the “Awesome” brought in people looking for golf tees – instead of T-shirts. He moved his business to the west side of the island and opened Logowear Maui in Lahaina, with Maui Resortwear following five years later.

“I opened ‘Maui Nalu’ in Queen Kaahumanu Center in September of last year to be the spring board for our new, Maui Nalu brand of high quality aloha shirts, T-shirts and board shorts,” he says.

In addition to bringing the Maui Nalu brand to life, the store offers quality Hawaiian lifestyle merchandise that appeals to visitors and locals alike. “We carry Reyn Spooner and Tori Richard as well and a fabulous selection of women’s and children’s wear.”

The desire to build his own clothing brand which had been stirring around in his head all these years has finally come together for the native New Yorker. “So far we have the logo and we’re working on several Aloha and T-shirts designs,” he says.

Chuck is an avid windsurfer who moved to Maui from Long Island “because I wanted to be someplace where I could be in the water twelve months a year- without a wetsuit! Now I’m launching a clothing brand that I, all my windsurfing friends and everyone else will feel great wearing when they’re both in and out of the water.”

Visit Maui Nalu, Maui Resortwear and Logowear Maui and you’ll check all the boxes off your souvenir list.
