Hale Ho‘ike‘ike at the Bailey House

Run by the Maui Historical Society, the museum is in a mission home built in 1833 on what was once the royal compound of King Kahekili, Maui’s last ruling chief. Until 1888, it was the home of missionary teacher Edward Bailey and his family. See Maui's largest collection of Hawaiian antiquities and 19th century artifacts, as well as an ethnobotanical garden featuring rare indigenous, endemic and endangered Hawaiian plant species. Gift shop also on the premises. $7 general admission, $5 seniors 60+, $2 kids 7-12.
