Hawaii Army Museum

Experience the military story of Hawaiʻi when you visit the Hawaiʻi Army Museum. Housed in the former Battery Randolph, which was once used to protect Hawaiʻi from invading forces, the Hawaiʻi Army Museum features impressive exhibits, collections and displays to showcase the rich history of military presence in Hawaiʻi.

At Fort DeRussy Beach, you’ll learn how military institutions have shaped the history and culture of Hawaiʻi, and the social, economic and political effects they’ve had on residents and visitors alike. Exhibits feature silenced guns, vacant bunkers, helicopters and tanks, as well as vivid and insightful displays of military in Hawaiʻi from early years through the War in Iraq. The US Army Garrison-Hawaii operates the museum and its collections.

The Hawaii Army Museum and Hawaii Army Museum Society’s Museum Store is open Tues. – Sat., 10 a.m. – 5 p.m. (closed Sun. and Mon.). Admission is free, though donations are always welcome. You can also enjoy an audio tour for $5.
