The Sony Open in Hawaii PGA Tour Golf tournament will feature 144 of the world’s exceptional golfers in a four-round competition at the Waialae Country Club on Oahu. The Sony Open is the largest charity golf event in Hawaii, generating $256,000 for 43 charities in 1999. This tournament raises $1.2 million annually and benefits more than 100 non-profit organizations each year. Over 350 local non profit organizations have been helped by the Sony Open and have raised over a total of $24 million since 1999!

The global impact of the Sony Open in Hawaii reaches over 213 countries and territories via multiple national and international broadcast networks. It is one of the most international events on the PGA TOUR schedule, the Sony Open showcases international golf talent and camaraderie Hawaii’s natural beauty as the backdrop to the world.

Since 2016, the  Sony Open in Hawaii has been honored by the State of Hawaii with a Green Business award in recognition of the tournament’s energy efficiency efforts and sustainable business practices.  The annual week-long Sony Open tournament serves as a stunning backdrop for PGA TOUR competition and also a reminder about the importance of keeping Hawaii beautiful.

Special Admission

  • Free admission all week for U.S. military and dependents co-supported with Pasha Hawaii
  • Complimentary admission is extended to all U.S. military and dependents who present a valid military ID at the gates
  • Active duty and retired military, reserves and dependents are eligible

  • Children 15 and under are admitted free to the Sony Open in Hawaii when accompanied by an adult ticket holder.
  • Veterans are provided free admission via  Veteran Tickets Foundation

There will be no bag check at the tournament, but please check Sony Open website for PGA TOUR bag policy guidelines.
